Winslow Brew Co
Impeccable Character
Project overview
Winslow Brew Co. is a Swiss craft brewery with strong roots in tradition and a passion for innovation. We were invited to build the brand for both the brewery itself and its growing family of beers, beginning with Alias, then Ombre and later Sahib. Each beer needed an identity with its own personality, while collectively fitting into a system that reflected the quality, creativity and character of the brewery.
Strategy
Our strategy was to treat each beer as a distinct character within a wider narrative. The core brewery identity grounded the brand in Swiss heritage, while each product explored its own story through name, design and tone. By using consistent structures — such as the recurring letter device and the Swiss cross detail — we created cohesion, while allowing Alias, Ombre and Sahib to express their individuality. The approach gave Winslow Brew Co. a brand with flexibility, personality and room to grow.

Brand Identity

Project details
Alias, the first release, played on the idea of character and duality. Labels used overlays of silver and red to represent both the familiar and the alter ego, with eight different versions created to keep the brand alive and engaging. The design was bold and playful, while still carrying a nod to Swiss provenance through the die cut cross on the reverse of the label.
Ombre followed as an amber ale whose name carried a dual meaning: shadow in French and amber by sound. This juxtaposition inspired a design based on light and shade, tying it visually to its sibling Alias through the brewery’s lettered label system. Sahib then expanded the brand family further, with a White IPA designed around a colonial character. A warm palette and monoline illustration balanced heritage references with a contemporary clarity, giving the beer its own presence while sitting comfortably within the wider Winslow stable.

“The brand system gave Winslow Brew Co. the tools to grow, with each beer carrying its own character while staying part of a consistent and distinctive family.”
